Jetstream, a beautiful-looking puzzle game, sees you flying a plane around the world in hopes of making it to its destination.
In Jetstream, you are moving a plane around the screen. You see, this plane will move forward until it hits something. Most of the time, this something will be clouds. Unlike real life clouds, the clouds in this game give you a moment to move in a new direction. Thunder clouds, however, destroy your route and force you to move backwards to a safer place.
As you go forward and hit destinations, the puzzles and routes you need to take become more complex. Your plane does leave behind a trail of wind, which you can use as an additional wall to change your course. Sometimes, this wall starts to get in the way, and that’s when the game introduces petrol stations. These stops will remove your previous trail, but you will also move forward until you hit something, moving through the station.
There are more objects that you might come into contact with too, however, getting to the destination at the end is the real feat. Each level feels compact, and they do get more challenging as they go. The graphics themselves are very slick and pretty as well. I saw this game at EGX and really quite enjoyed this aesthetic, as simplistic as it looks.
Jetstream doesn’t currently have a solid release date, however, you can wishlist it on Steam or sign up for the developer’s newsletter.
